Animation Studies

Overview

This is a collection of some technical studies with characters, modeling, sculpting, and animating.

Demo Reel

Bacchus

The fall of Bacchus was a fun exploration of how Roman deities are portrayed versus what they represent. Bacchus, the god of wine, was sculpted in Zbrush, animated with Maya, and render with Renderman.

This is a characterized bust of Bacchus, the Roman god of wine. This model was sculpted in Zbrush, rigged, and animated for a short project in a graduate stuio course at Ohio State University.

Naqshi

Naqshi is a character design inspired by Vulgrim in the Darksiders game. Since Vulgrim was primarily a skeletal figure, I wanted to reimagine his essence by taking one of his monologues and facially animating a personality fit for him. Naqshi is conniving, manipulative, clever, and self-serving.

This is a character model (and animation for lip sync) that I did as an animation experiment. I took audio from a game character I was fond of and redesigned the character to fit the voice. The inspired voice came from Vulgrim in "Darksiders."
